West African Football Academy remain unbeaten in the Normalization Committee Special Competition after a hard fought draw with Elmina Sharks.
After winning one and drawing one of their opening two games, West Africa football Academy had daunting task facing Elimina Sharks, but the Academy boy were able to come back unscratched.
Speaking to the media after the game, Sadick Abubakar insisted his game plan worked accordingly, praising his opponent for defending well.
“Picking a point against Elmina Sharks away is good. We had a plan and the plan worked for us. so I must congratulate my boys,” he said.
“You could see we had a couple of chances in the second half and the quarter part of the games but we couldn’t utilize them.
“They also had chances in the second half, we also defended very well. It was good for us.
When asked how difficult the game was, Sadick answered,
“It wasn’t difficult for me,I worked on how we can get some counter attacks which we had. We were very discipline, the boys were tactically discipline.
We will be better as the game continues,” he added.
WAFA will face Karela United in match day four of the competition.
