Bankroller of Kumasi King Faisal Alhaji Karim Grusah has threatened to report the Chief Executive Officer of Unity FC Opoku Afriyie to the Ghana FA Normalization Committee over the match day one gate proceeds.
According to the Alhaji Grusah, King Faisal came to play their home game against BYF, only for them to meet Unity FC playing at the same stadium, so they agreed to share the gate proceeds after the game, but Unity FC who were in charge of the gate have since gone with all the money.
Speaking to Angel FM on the issue, Grusah accused the CEO of Unity FC of embezzling the fund and warned him to bring back the share of King Faisal or face the consequences
“Opoku Afriyie, the Unity FC CEO has cheated us. They deceived us, we came to play home game and met them also playing so we agreed to share the gate proceed after both games.
“But as we are talking they are yet to give us our part. We didn’t even know they also play their home games at Baba Yara.
“My CEO complained to Poku Afriyie the CEO of Unity FC, but he rather insulted my CEO.
“Please tell them to surrender the money. If they don’t give us our part I will report them to the GFA,” Grusah threatened.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Unity FC has flatly denied Alhaji Grusah’s charges insisting the King Faisal owner is misinforming the public.
