Ghana’s senior national team – the Black Stars – will hold a month’s training tour in Qatar ahead of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, FootballMadeInGhana.com understands.
Kwesi Appiah’s men were initially billed to camp in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for their groundwork.
However, weather conditions prompted a change of plan to Doha.
And the Board Chairman of the NSA Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang confirmed the team will pitch camp in Qatar.
“Black Stars will pitch a one month camping in Doha, Qatar ahead of the 2019 AFCON, this shows how serious the government is to win the AFCON,” he told Fox FM in Kumasi.
The draw for the tournament is on Friday April 12th, 2019.
Ghana will be in Pot 1 alongside Cameroon, Egypt, Nigeria, Tunisia and Algeria.
