Ghana’s second oldest existing club, Eleven Wise as part of their centenary celebration visited the Sekondi Zongo Mosque on Friday afternoon.
The playing body and the technical team were led by the club coordinator Steven Kojo Abbu as they sought for the blessings of the Muslim community in the region.
The club will turn 100 years on the 9th of April, 2019 as they were formed in 1919.
They will wrap up the day with a visit to the life patron of the club; Nana Kobina Nketsiah V, (Omahene of the Essikado traditional area.
Fans and other stakeholders of the club will then have a float on the Saturday April 6th, starting at Essikado to Effiakwanta regional hospital.
The third day which will be on the 9th of April, 2019 will be the day the club will turn 100 years, the anniversary will be launched on that day at the Assemblies of God Church, European Town branch.
The whole event will be climaxed with soccer game between Eleven Wise and Hasaacas at the traditional Gyandu Park where Eleven Wise won their maiden league tittle.
The game is scheduled to come off on the 13th of April, 2019.
