The team had its final training on Friday evening ahead of the commencement of the NC Special Competition, without their head coach Sellas Tetteh.S
Insiders say Sly is leading the U17 side of Bechem United on a tour in the US but will assume duty when he returns.
Speaking to the former Black Star player, Hamza Mohammed on the team’s readiness, he highlighted their determination and commitment to putting the club back where they left it after football was truncated in Ghana.
According to him, though they have had their match brought back to Saturday instead of Sunday, they are still poised to kick off on a good note against Gbewaa FC at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
“This is a new competition and we need to start well .we are determined to show what we have despite the date change for our game,” Hamza noted.
The former skipper of the Black Satellites in the late 90s, is optimistic the introduction of the Special Competition is a relief to coaches and believe his players’ attitudes in training is good for the team.
