The Miners will open the Normalization Committee Special Competition against Eleven Wonders at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
The home side has been hugely tipped to win the competition due to their recent form.
They will have to beat Wonders on Sunday to make a statement of intent.
Coached by one time Ghana Premier League champion Enos Adepa, Eleven Wonders will be looking to make amends on Sunday after suffering a defeat in their first ever game against the miners in the truncated league.
Svetislav Tanasejiv has already vowed to win the competition as he has set his sight on qualifying Ashanti Gold for a CAF club competition next season.
Ashanti Gold are very strong at home and it will take a massive performance to outwit them at their own backyard.
The Miners have no injury concerns ahead of the game on Sunday.
Striker Shafiu Mumuni is expected to lead the attack with Richard Djoji and Salia Quatara supporting him on the attack.
James Akaminko, McCarthy and Samed Ibrahim are all expected to feature for the Miners.
Eleven Wonders nearly snatch a point in their last visit at Obuasi, only for Latif Anabila to break their hearts, making sure they returned to Techiman with nothing.
With the exception of Fatawu Safiu who left for Asante Kotoko, Enos Adepa has the core of his team for this game.
Veteran striker Alex Asamoah and fans favourite Abdul Wahab are expected to lead the line for the Techiman-based side.
Experience goalkeeper John Moosie is expected to man the post for Wonders.
