Ghana’s U23 side the Black Meteors were held to a pulsating 0-0 stalemate in Libreville on Tuesday afternoon in the return leg of the U23 AFCON qualifier.
The 0-0 stalemate only mean the Black Meteors have qualified to the next stage of the competition on a 4-0 aggregate score line following the wonderful first leg in Accra.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko and charges held the home side to a 0-0 in the second leg tie at the Stade de l’Amitié.
On the 69th minute, Liberty Professional midfielder Simon Zibo was sent off after picking a second yellow card for a horrible tackle.
The match ended in a 0-0 draw.
Ghana will face either Algeria in the final qualification round of the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifiers.
This year’s edition of the tournament will be held in Egypt between November 5-22.
