Asante Kotoko are close to appointing their former defender Richard Manu as the new assistant coach of the club.

Richard Manu holds a UEFA License ‘B’ certificate in coaching and has had a stint at German Bundesliga III side DJK Dillingen.
Richard Manu was the Assistant of Johnsen Smith at Karela united during the truncated league.
He will replace Akapo Patron who has been sent to the youth team due to his knowledge in youth development with WAFA.
As a player, Manu won the Ghana Premier League with Asante Kotoko in the 2007/2008 season.
