Kenya head coach Sebastian Migne has revealed how important and influential Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama is to his side insisting his lack of game time at Tottenham won’t change anything.
The Kenya midfielder has struggled to find his feat in the Tottenham team this season after suffering a long term injury at the end of last season’s campaign.
But the French coach insists Wanyama is the leader of his team because of the influence he has on the young players and hope to have him in the African Cup of Nation in Egypt.
“He needs to be ready if he has to compete in the team next week.
“They have already qualified in the champions league. He is our leader, he shows the way for the youth team and the talented young players around him.
“I’m very happy with him. He helps us and we will help him to recover his fitness and we wish he will be there for the AFCON,” he noted.
Kenya will make a long return to the African showpiece in June after failing to make it in the previous editions.
