Columbus Crew SC have loaned Ghanaian forward Edward Opoku to USL side Birmingham Legion FC.

Opoku 22 moves to Legion on a one-year deal as he eyes adequate playing time.

In the loan agreement, Legion have no option for an outright purchase whilst Columbus Crew can recall the player any time they want.

Opoku a University of Virginia graduate joined Columbus Crew last year from St. Louis FC and made five league appearances.

He becomes the third Ghanaian player in Legion as they have already signed Prosper Kasim and Dreams FC left-back Razak Cromwell.
