Zesco United coach George Lwandamina says he was determined to beat Kotoko on Sunday to open a fresh page.
The Zambian champions had gone a seven-game winless streak but were able to beat Kotoko 2-1 in the CAF Confederations Cup game in Ndola yesterday to end the Porcupine Warriors dream of making it to the next stage.
“The Kotoko game was a game we wanted to win to boost our confidence. I know they wanted it more we wanted it but we wanted to start from somewhere and actually it has to start from Kotoko as a big team” Lwandamina told Nhyira sports.
Kotoko took the lead in Ndola through Stephen Nyarko but Zesco equalized through Jesse Were before going on to win the game.
