Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei, has assured the technical team and playing body of the club of his support in their quest to win the CAF Confederation Cup.

According to him, winning the ultimate trophy would be an honour to the Asante Kingdom in particular and the nation in general.

“I am just hearing this news from a section of the media. At this stage, we are so much focused on how to qualify for the next stage of the competition so there is no room for any kind of conflict between the coach and myself,” Dr Kyei assured.

The business mogul further reiterated that he was honoured to take charge of Kotoko to fight for a continental trophy that had eluded the club for more than three decades, hence his commitment to do everything possible to bring the ultimate trophy to Ghana once again.

“I thank God for this opportunity and with God by my side I know that our quest to win the trophy will not elude us,” he noted.
