Chairman of Ashanti Gold Football Club, Dr Kweku Frimpong has called on the Ghana FA Normalization Committee of Ghana Football to fasten their effort in order to bring back football in the country.
Football related have been brought to a standstill after the premiering of the ‘Number 12’ video by Anas Aremeyaw Anas in June last year.
Top football personalities and match official were fingered in their line of duty.
However, FIFA named a four-member committee to steer the affairs of Ghana football until March 30.
The committee have been tasked to review the status of the FA and organize elections to elect new president and Executive Members.
However, the chairman who was speaking after his side 2-1 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars in a friendly game called on the committee to hurry up and bring back football back since the clubs have expressed their eagerness to play football.
“I’m really impressed with my team. All the boys are in good shape waiting for a competition to start,” he told footballmadeinghana.com.
“The game showed how all the club are waiting for the competition.
” I’m calling on the Normalization Committee to fasten things for a competition to start very soon.
“All the clubs are ready.
“When the competition start, we are going to see a lot of good footballers at the various clubs,” he added.
Joseph Gordon and Daniel Gozar got the two goals for Ashanti Gold, whiles Prince Sarfo got the consolation for Gold Stars.
