Experienced Ghanaian defender Nana Akwasi Asare has extended his contract with Belgian side KAA Gent.

Asare’s contract with the Buffaloes was due to end this summer but he has signed a fresh contract which will now keep him at the Ghelamco Arena until June 30 ,2021.

The veteran left-back who is the captain of Gent has been very regular since joining them in 2013 from FC Utrecht.

He has so far featured in 235 games for Gent, scoring three goals and providing fifteen assists.
