Former Asante Kotoko defender Richard Manu says the club has progressed sturdily despite their recent challenges in the CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Richard Manu who won the Ghana Premier League with Kotoko in 2008 stated that he is not surprised with the progress of the club claiming they have done a lot in a short time.
He also backed the coach to solve the defensive frailties of the club.
“I have been following Kotoko and I’m not surprised at where they have gotten to in the competition because they have the right players.
“There are some problems at the defence but I’m sure the coach will work on all those problems in the defence.
“They need a commander at the defence to command the defenders on the field,” he told Ashh FM.
He also urged the club to do away with home defeat if they want to make it to the quarter finals stage.
Kotoko must win their two home games to secure qualification to the next stage of the competition.
