President of New Edubiase United Yakubu Abdul Salam has hailed the Minister of Youth and Sports for the formation of the Ministerial Committee to strategize the regulation of the Special Competition.
After a topsy-turvy atmosphere between the clubs and the Normalization Committee, the Sports Ministry on Monday formed a six-member committee to regulate the financial structure and modalities for the competition.
Salam Yakubu has described the move as the right call despite insisting his club will not participate in the competition.
“This committee will make sure that the special competition will be successful, so it’s the right call but it doesn’t mean I will participate in the competition.”
“Most of the football people are not truthful because many of them actually want the league to continue but because of bitterness and jealousy they don’t want us to continue.
“They just don’t want to continue with the league because it’s associated with the Kwesi Nyantakyi,” he told Happy FM.
The committee will be chaired by Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Hon. Perry Okudzeto, Hon. O. B. Amoah – MP for Akuapem South, Madam Lucy Quist, Alex Asante GFA , Kudjoe Fianoo, Kurt Okraku, and Randy Abbey.
