Nkana FC comfortably beat Asante Kotoko in the third Group C game of the 2018/19 CAF Confederations Cup in Kitwe, Zambia by 3-1.
A brace from Ronald Kampamba came after Freddy Tshimenga had put Nkana FC in the lead from the spot in the first half with Songne Yacouba’s expertly taken free kick gave Asante Kotoko a consolation.
A game which saw the home side reduced to 10 men after Richard Ocran was sent off in the second half.

Kotoko
Felix Annan ( 6/10) – Can’t be blamed for any of the three goals he conceded. Made some good saves to keep his side in the game.
Habib Mohammed(4/10) – A forgettable game for the former Ashanti Gold defender. Look lost in the first half. Made a lot of mistakes and gave the lost the ball to easily .
Amos Frimpong (5/10) – Decent performances from the captain. Was defensively OK, didn’t offer much on the attack.
Abdul Ganiu Ismael ( 4/10) – his Worst game in kotoko shirt. Unsettled his team by conceding a penalty early in the game. Committed a lot of defensive error at the back.
Agyemang Badu (4/10) – Just like his partner, was at fault for the second goal after heading the ball straight to his opponent. His clearance and interventions were very poor.
Umar Bashiru ( 5/10) – Replacing Injured Senanu, the former WAFA midfielder struggled at the beginning of the game. He looked lost at the beginning. Good second half by the chap.
Kwame Bonsu( 5/10) – The stakes where high for him prior to the game. But failed to steal the show. He was limited by the aggressive Midfield of Nkana.
Emmanuel Gyamfi (5/10) – Was a passenger in the game. Dealt very well by Gift Zulu. Look off the pace.
Maxwell Baako( 4/10) – Dissapointed outing by Maxwell, contributed nothing on both attacks and defense. Struggled to deal with the physical nature of the opponents.
Fatawu Abdul Shafiu ( 5/10) – Didn’t make any impact in the game. Poor work ethics.
Songne Yacouba( 7/10) – Best player for Kotoko on the pitch. Was everywhere on the pitch. Capped off his performance with a n excellent free kick to draw his team level earlier.
Substitute
Stephen Nyarko (5/10) – Showed a lot of promise going forward. Helped a lot on the attack
Martin Antwi (4/10) – brought on to solidify the midfield and help in the attack. Couldn’t make any impact
Naby Keita (4/10) – Brought on for Habib, Couldn’t make any impact in the game.
Nkana FC
Allan Chibwe ( 6/10) – You can’t blame him for Yacouba free kick. Recovered very well with some good reflexes in the game.
Joseph Musonda ( 6/10) – Dealt with the threat of Gyamfi very well. Didn’t give Gyamfi a breathing space in the game.
Mohammed Musa (7/10) – Good partnership with Ocran at the back. Struggled to deal with Yacouba. But his organizations at the back was spot on.
Richard Ocran (7/10) – Solid at the back. Made a lot of intervention to stop Kotoko attack. Was sent off in the 70th minutes after receiving his second yellow card in the game.
Gift Zulu (6/10) – Great game by Zulu. Caused a lot of problems with his surging runs on the flanks.
Shadreck Malambo (6/10) – Showed a lot of Aggressiveness to win possession in the middle. Contributed a lot on the atrack
Duncan Otieno ( 6/10)- Good game by Otieno. Worked very hard to stop the movement of Maxwell Baako in the middle. Contributed a lot defensively.
Kelvin Kampamba ( 7/10) – Controlled the tempo of the game for the home side. Was everywhere on the pitch.
Freddy Tshimenga (8/10) – Convert his penalty very well. Created a lot of chances for his side with some good final delivery.
Ronald Kampamba (8/10) – What a game he has had. Scored two beautiful goals to helped side to win the game. Could have gotten himself a hat trick if not a fantastic saves of Felix Annan.
Walter Bwalya ( 8/10) – The captain was arguably the best player of the game. Dictated the pace of the game and stamped his authority throughout the game. Assisted the third goal for Kampamba.
Substitute
Ben Adama (5/10) – Added new energy at the back. Made some good clearance.
Moses Nyondo (4/10) – Brought to waste time as his team edges closer to Victory.
Harrison Chisala ( 5/10) – Stabilized the midfield after his team were reduced to 10men.
