Aduana Stars skipper Yahya Mohammed has urged football players in the domestic league to team up in their numbers to demonstrate against the absence of domestic football in Ghana.
The hard talking striker believes that the Normalization Committee has nothing better to offer Ghana football and by extension the football players.
Yahya believes that the plight of the players isn’t a key concern for the committee hence their snail-pace strategy towards the restoration of football in Ghana.
The experienced striker is convinced that if footballers take to the streets to calling for the restoration of Ghana football, it will hugely go to the benefit of the players.
“It is difficult for us the players because we don’t play football to receive bonuses and salaries since there is no football in the country.
“We (players) are coming together to demonstrate. As of now I haven’t seen anything that has been normalized in Ghana football.
“I say this because during Kwesi Nyantakyi’s era we always heard of embezzlement of funds and is the same thing going on now”, Yahaya told Atinka FM.
“When they met referees and the Premier League clubs they were not transparent with these bodies.
“So nothing has been normalized and we the players have to wake up because we are the ones affected,” he advised.
Domestic footballers are set to hit the streets in the coming days to show their resentments over the current state of Ghana football.
