Ghanaian sides Berekum Chelsea and Nania FC will participate in this year’s Viareggio Cup in Italy.
The tournament which is the 71st Edition will see the Ghanaian teams battling some of the top teams in the World from March 11th to March 27th for supremacy.
Nania will lock horns with Parma, Venice, and US side Euro LIAC whilst Berekum Chelsea will sort things out with AC Milan, Spezia FC and Carrarese Calcio.
Viareggio Cup has over the years being a breeding grounds for Ghanaian talents as it has been able to produce players including Abraham Akwasi Frimpong (Ferencvarosi in Hungary), Richmond Boakye (Red Star Belgrade), Afriyie Acquah (Empoli), Daniel Kofi Agyei (Carrarese,) Alfred Duncan (Sassuolo) Frank Acheampong of Tianjing Teda and a host of others.
