Guinean club AC Horoya set a new record on Tuesday as five Ghanaian players featured in their CAF Champions League win over Platinum FC in Conakry.
Horoya paraded Godfred Asante and Hudu Yakubu in defence, with Brefo Mensah and Sebe Baffour in midfield. Ghanaian-born Burkinabe forward Mandela Ocansey who is the captain of the club also spearheaded the attack and was replaced in the 82nd minute by another Ghanaian in the shape of Patrick Razak.
This is the first time in the history of the competition that a club have paraded five foreigners from the same country in one game.
Ocansey opened the scoring for Horoya in the 58th minute before Hudu made it two in the 79th minute.
Horoya are now second in Group B with seven points.
