Ghanaian enforcer Anthony Annan is on the verge of joining Israeli Premier League side Beitar Jerusalem.

Annan has been a free agent since January 1, 2019 after deciding not to renew his contract with Finnish giants HJK.

The veteran midfield anchor was a subject of interest from Icelandic champions Valur but his wages demand served as a hindering block to the potential deal.

Reports in Jerusalem on Tuesday morning are that, Annan is on the brink of joining Beitar after fruitful talks with him and his agent.

Annan is expected to take a monthly wage of $15,000 at Beitar Jerusalem.
