Zesco United striker Rahim Osumanu has revealed that they knew they were going to beat sworn rivals Nkana FC in the CAF Confederations Cup Group C fixture.
The Zega Mambos defeated Nkana FC by two goals to nil on Sunday with first have goals from John Chingandu and Lazarous Kambole.
The Ghanaian striker hinted that they trusted themselves and wanted to pay Nkana in their own coin after the Red Devils saw them in the Zambian Community shield last week.
“I believe and knew we will win the Nkana game even though they beat us some days ago. The determination to avenge that defeat was greater than the passion to just win.” Osumanu told footballmadeinghana.com
“The atmosphere was one of the best I have seen ever since i came to this lovely country. I respect Nkana team and their fans so much but our fans were awesome as usual.”
Zesco will face Kotoko in their next Group game in Kumasi.
