Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, CK Akonnor says his players did not play according to instructions in their 1-0 defeat to Al Hilal in Omdurman on Sunday.

Akonnor indicated the goal they let in during the first half could have been prevented though they came into the second half much stronger and did what he thought them.

“My boys didn’t play to my expectation in the first half and conceded a goal that was avoidable. We expressed ourselves well in the 2nd half but couldn’t get the needed equalizer” Akonnor told Sikka FM.

The Porcupine Warriors will host Zambian side Zesco United in Kumasi in their next outing.
