Karela United head of communications, Eric Alagidede has revealed that Kumasi Asante Kotoko have inquired about their striker Williams Opoku Mensah though a move to US is imminent.
The Karela spokesperson pointed out though the player has desire to play for the Porcupine Warriors, an MLS club is also interested in him making it his prime target.
“We are now facing a difficult challenge because an MLS side alert us that they also want him.” Alagidede told Agyenkwa FM
“We confronted the player (William Opoku Mensah) and he made it clear that he has a feel of playing in the Ghana League for Kotoko but there is an offer from abroad and he wants to continue elsewhere so he has opted for a move to USA”
“The boy says he has a great ambition of playing for the Black Stars and that the MLS will help him attain that feat.”
Opoku Mensah was one of the stars in the Ghana Premier League last year as he scored a hat-trick against Hearts of Oak.
