Ghana winger Christian Atsu is elated following Newcastle United 2-1 win over champions Manchester City at the St. James Park on Tuesday night.

The Magpies came into the game as huge underdogs but dispatched the Citizens despite going down as early as the first minute.

Atsu emphasized that they worked well for the victory and the backing from their fans were also intriguing.

“Worked really hard to get the 3 points, massive points for us and fantastic support from our fans” Atsu tweeted.

Newcastle are now 14th on the EPL table with 24 points from twenty four games.
