The assistant coach of Ghana’s most successful club Akakpo Patron has reminded their Confederation Cup opponents of the grandeur of the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the crunch Al-Hilal v Asante Kotoko game on Sunday.
Kotoko deputy head coach Akakpo Patron says their CAF Confederation Cup Group C is a welcoming draw but definitely does not hide the fact that the Porcupine Warriors have so much respect for Zesco United, Nkana FC and Al-Hilal.
The Fabulous club open their group account with an away fixture at Al-Hilal on Sunday and C.K Akonnor’s number 2 has underlined their respect for their group rivals.
“This group is a good one. It is a favorable draw but then we have so much respect for our group opponents, Al-Hilal and the two Zambia clubs.” Akakpo Patron told FootballmadeinGhana.com.
“They (opponents) have been participating in Africa for sometime now. But we know Kotoko is bigger than all of them.” he added.
