Policy Analyst and management member of Asante Kotoko Amoh Sarpong says the decision of the club’s hierarchy to appointment Charles Kwablan Akonnor as Samuel Kwesi Fabin successor has been justified.
The former Black Stars skipper replaced Fabin as Kotoko head coach on October 1 after the former resigned from the position and after three months the Porcupine Warriors are in the Confederation Cup group stages under the tutelage Akonnor.
“We are very proud of this decision. It is the best decision we have taken and it is paying off.” he told Oyerepa FM.
After receiving qualification on a silver platter over Cameroonian opponents, the Ghanaian side remain unbeaten in Africa after picking three wins and a draw.
“The abilities of coach Akonnor and technical know how has brought us this far.” Sarpong added.
