Accra Hearts of Oak have terminated the contract of Ivorian midfielder Camara Nguessan, FootballMadeInGhana.com can confirm.
The midfielder reached an agreement with the management of the club to terminate the contract after Coach Kim Grant informed management the player is not part of his plans.
FootballMadeInGhana can exclusively reveal that Hearts CEO Mark Noonan and head coach Kim Grant, who doubles as the Director of Football, met the player after his impressive outing in their 2-1 win over Ghana’s U20 side.
Moments after the game, Camara was invited by the head coach and the CEO and was told his contract will be terminated.
The player, according to our inside sources, was not worried about the news but demanded he is compensated before he leaves.
But he was strangely told that he can only be given a month’s salary as his compensation.
With two years left on his contract, Camara was infuriated by the attempt to pay him just a month’s salary when his contract is terminated.
Camara and his managers threatened to report Hearts of Oak to FIFA following the decision if the Phobians do not change their stance.
But FootballMadeInGhana can report that the two parties met on Monday morning to handle the matter amicably.
Camara has been given six month payment from his signing-on fee which he accepted for the contract to be terminated.
According to insiders, the player was entitled to Ȼ30k for the remaining two years on his contract as were the terms when he was signing for the Phobians.
But Camara agreed to accept Ȼ7,500 to get his contract terminated.
