Ghana defender Lumor Agbenyenu was greeted unpleasantly at his new side Goztepe as they were handed a painful 1-0 defeat to giants Galatasaray in theTurkish Super Lig.

Making his debut for S.K Goztepe, Lumor lasted the entire duration of the game as they tasted defeat at home to The Yellow and Blacks.

Agbenyenu, swapped Portuguese giants Sporting CP for Goztepe on Thursday and has swiftly weaved himself into the starting line-up of the club.

Galatarasary was, however, too strong an opponent for Goztepe, forcing a lone goal down their throat at their own backyard.

The Bornova Stadyumu was thrown into dead silence courtesy Sinan Gumus’ 72nd minute strike for the visitors.

He penned a six-month loan deal with the option to make the deal permanent on Thursday after failing to churn out regular playing time at Sporting Lisbon.

The 22-year-old left-back made only eight appearances in all competitions for Sporting since joining them from Portimonense around a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros.

Agbenyenu has been capped 9 times for the senior national team of Ghana.
