The love and passion for Hearts of Oak appears endless for some people as a dyed in the wool Phobian has decorated his house in the beautiful colours of the club.

Known in public as Debaabi, Baba Abubakar, a resident of Bekwai Zongo in the Ashanti Region has painted his house with Hearts of Oak colours, designing it with the crest of the club to show his love for the Ghanaian giants.

“I love the club. Hearts is the best football club in the world,” he told FootballMadeInGhana.com when contacted.

The private businessman is a farmer and a professional butcher with several numbers of cattle follows the club everywhere to watch their matches especially in the Ashanti, Central and Western Regions.

He recounts the days of Neoplan Stars and New Edubiase United when Hearts of Oak travel to Bekwai to play at the Nana Gyamfi Park.

“It was always party time for me when I know Hearts will be in Bekwai to play during the weekends.

“I fast and pray for the club to win and stop whatever I have to do on the day just to prepare for the game. My love for Hearts can’t be described,” he added.

Asked why he painted his house in the colours of Hearts of Oak, the passionate Phobian said he doesn’t want his kids to identify with any colours but the Rainbow colours.

“I want my children to grow up with the love and passion I have for Hearts. They must identify with the colours and be proud of it. Hearts is the best.

Despite Hearts’ inability to win a league title for the past decade, Baba is convinced the Mark Noonan leadership will restructure the club and make it stronger again.

“Mark Noonan has started well. He has shown he can do it. We will support him to transform the club. Now we have new things –logo, crest, coach, new players and many more. He only needs our support to succeed,” he added.

Though FootballMadeInGhana did not enter his room, close associates of Baba revealed that his bed is decorated with Hearts of Oak flag as well as the furniture of his hall also decorated in Hearts colours.

His love and passion for the Rainbow family are unquestionable, especially those who know him.
