Former Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila is sure the club can win the CAF Confederation Cup, urging them to go for it.

According to the Red Star Belgrade defender, the side is growing in confidence and can win the ultimate if they keep focused.

In an interview with FootballMadeInGhana.com, Rashid urged the players to be strong mentally and target the ultimate.

“They have a good team and must only be mentally strong. They must not lose concentration especially getting to the end of the game and they can win it.

“The team has grown in confidence and their performance against the Cameroonians was great. They can win it because their group looks good,” he said.

Asante Kotoko have been picked in Group C with Zambian sides Zesco United and Nkana FC as well as Sudanese side Al Hilal Omdurman.
