German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have joined the race for the signature of Ghanaian defender Isaac Donkor, according to reports in Romania.

Donkor, 23, is already on the wish list of several Italian Series A clubs including Sassuolo, Atalanta and Torino after an impressive outing with Universitea Craiova in Romania.

The tough-tackling center back who spent his formative days with Series A giants Inter Milan joined Craiova last summer and has been a huge addition to the side.

The Ghanaian defender who could feature for Italy as he’s yet to play for Ghana has been attracting massive attention from several top European clubs.

Donkor is believed to have caught the attention of the Bundesliga side after putting up a wonderful performance against them in the Europa League last year.

Donkor could be the first Ghanaian to play for Leipzig if the deal goes through.
