Black Satellites Coach Jimmy Cobblah has expressed anger over attitude of some parents and managers of players who have been dropped from the team for the two weeks camping in Niger.
Jimmy Cobblah on Monday named a 24-man squad for the two weeks training camp in Niamey after which three of them will be dropped for the inclusion of skipper Ibrahim Konda, FC Nordsjaelland midfielder Mohammed Kudus as well AS Eupen goalkeeper Abdul Manaf.
Parent and managers of players who were dropped furiously raided the training camp and picked their players to their various destination, amidst anger and insults.
But the action of the parent and managers didn’t go well with the coach who described the action as unfortunate.
“It’s unfortunate what happened here. Parent and managers of players who did not make the squad drove here to pick them which is very bad,” he told Happy FM in Accra.
“They should know not making the team is not the end. Who knows, they might end up going to the World Cup,” he added.
The Ghana National U20 team will lock horns with Mali, Senegal and Burkina Faso in Group B.
The tournament is set to kickoff from February 2, to February 17.
