Asante Kotoko SC defender Ismail Abdul Ganiyu has donated books to his former school Wa Municipal Model JHS just 3 days after leading the club into the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
The hardworking defender also donated some few items to his fan club in his hometown, Wa.
The former Wa All Stars and Karela United FC centre back donated 1400 exercise books and 620 pens to the students of Wa Model JHS at a short ceremony staged at the school’s premises in Wa.
The defender spoke to footballmadeinghana.com after the ceremony.
‘It’s always good to give back to your community. I did this to show my deepest appreciation to what they have been doing. I hope to do more in the near future,” Ganiyu said.
Ismael Abdul Ganiyu has formed a formidable partnership with Agyemang Badu at the heart of the Kotoko defence since his transfer from Karela United.
