Zesco United striker Rahim Osumanu insists the CAF Confederations Cup game with Kumasi Asante Asante Kotoko will be the biggest game in his career.
Osumanu emphasized that he has every reason to shine against Kotoko which is a giant in African football and also use the opportunity to catch the attention of Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah.
“My expectations for the game against Kotoko is very high, they are one of the biggest clubs on the continent and I want to have my best game against them. I want to use that game in Kumasi on February 13th to announce my presence to Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.” Osumanu told footballmadeinghana.com
“I also want to win the Confederations Cup for my team so winning every game is important not only against Kotoko,”
The budding attacker also indicated that the domestic league in the Southern African country is on the rise and could be among the top ranks on the continent in the next few years.
“The Zambian league is really growing faster than I expected, this is because there are so many foreigners here and the league is also very competitive. I think in the next five years, Zambian league will be one of the best in Africa. Currently is above the Ghana Premier League.”
“Though I just signed for Zesco United this season, everything has been awesome so far, I have really adapted to the style and tradition so fast. I know I will leave a big legacy here beforeĀ I move for another adventure. For now I’m happy here with the team and everything is looking great.” He added.
Zesco United will face Kotoko, Nkana FC and Al Hilal in Group C of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederations Cup.
