Medeama SC picked a ticket to the finals of the maiden edition of the Betway Cup after hitting five past Aduana Stars courtesy sensational striker Awudu Tahiru who bagged four goals in the game.

Samuel Ofori added the other goal to complete the riot by the Tarkwa-based side.

Awudu Tahiru, 18, delighted the crowd with his magnificent display as Medeama set up a final showdown against Ashantigold in the battle of the Miners.

Awudu opened the scoring under five minutes and added another from the spot before Yahaya Mohammed reduced the tally with a powerful shot from inside the box.

Aduana Stars’s celebration was short-lived as Awudu grabbed his third just one minute afterwards Yahaya’s goal to restore the lead for Medeama.

Few minutes from the half-time, Awudu made it 4-1 for the Tarkwa side.

Ofori got his name on the score sheet to make it 5-1 in the second half before Pius Asante reduced the deficit with about fifteen minutes to the final whistle.

Medeama SC will take on hosts Ashanti Gold SC in the finals on Sunday at the same venue.
