Maritzburg United goalkeeper Richard Ofori is confident that his outfit have what it takes to to survive the ABSA Premier League.
The team of choice are currently at the bottom of the South African league having eleven points from 17 games but the Ghanaian shotstopper believes they can escape the drop zone because they have lots of good talents.
“I would say we did very well because as you can see we are struggling and now we need to keep our heads up and continue the course,” Ofori told SuperSport
“The race is not over, so when you continue like this and we think it’s over, it’s not over.”
“We need to push until something happens, but what I can say is that our guys fought very well although we lost. What can I say it’s a great boost to keep moving.”
“We have very good players. They play for their national teams and I also play for my national team as well and we need to show our class and that we are not in the national team for just being there.
“So I think it was a great game. They won, but what we need to do is to keep focus and keep on going.” He added.
Maritzburg lost 1-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns in their midweek league game at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
