Ghana’s U20 side the Black Satellites were silenced in their penultimate preparatory game at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope by high flying Dreams FC.
Three second half goals from the Still Believe Lads rendered the Black Satellites helpless in a game that saw an improvement in the Ghana side from the WAFU Zone B U20 tournament hosted in Togo about a month ago.
Emmanuel Eli Keke’s opener in the 47th minute was followed by two quick goals from Michael Amoh and Richard Addai to leave the final score 3-0 in favour of the visiting Dreams FC.
A beautifully taken free kick by Ibrahim Issah was excellently knocked home by the experienced Eli Keke to break the virginity of the game just after the break.
Michael Amoh increased the tally a few minutes later with a beautiful low curler at the near post after substitute Clifford Hanson released a tailor-measured cross from the right side of the Satellites defence.
As if that was the end, Richard Addai came from the bench and slotted home a magnificent tap-in to take the score to 3-0 for the visitors.
Jimmy Cobblah’s side looked helpless after Richard Addai’s goal but Cletus Nombil’ attempt to increase the tally for the Still Believe Boys missed by inches.
The Satellites panted for breath and chased their shadows despite Cobblah making seven changes to his side.
The team will take on Accra Hearts of Oak at the Tema Sports Stadium on Saturday in their last preparatory game.
The technical team led by Jimmy Cobblah is expected to name their final squad for the tournament by Sunday when they wrap up their preparation ahead of the tourney.
