Turkish Superliga side Goztepe SK are the latest club to vie for the signature of Ghana international Abdul Rahman Baba.
The Chelsea star will not be returning to Gelsinkirchen after his Christmas break as he won’t continue his loan deal with Schalke which was to end on June 30, 2019.
Various clubs are after his signature in the ongoing winter transfer window with LOSC Lille, Girona, and Villareal all making their interest known.
According to Turkish tabloid Fanatik on Monday, Goztepe SK are also bent on signing Baba on a six-month loan deal following an injury to their Ivorian left-back Adama Traore.
Goztepe chairman, Mehmet Sepil is said to be a huge fan of the 24-year-old and has sworn to bring him to the Dognalar Stadium as he seeks to add quality to his side.
Goztepe finished 6th in the Turkish Superliga last season.
