Ghana international Abdul Rahman Baba has emerged as the number one winter transfer target of French Ligue 1 outfit LOSC Lille Metropore.

Baba cut his loan spell at German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 last month and he has returned to Chelsea as he seeks a new avenue.

Footballmadeinghana.com can exclusively reveal that Lille are in desperate need of a left-back and they are keen on signing the talented Ghanaian defender.

Baba still have one and half years left on his contract and if he joins Lille, it will be up to the summer of 2019.

Officials of Lille are expected to meet the representatives of Baba in the coming days to start negotiations.
