Thomas Partey has been named as part of the elite best eleven players from Africa by CAF.
The announcement was made during the CAF awards in Senegal on Tuesday.
Partey was the only Ghanaian named in the team which featured the likes of Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Riyad Mahrez and Naby Keita join Partey in a three-man midfield.
Serge Aurier Mehdi Benatia, Eric Baily and Kalidou Koulibaly form the four-man defence with Dennis Onyango as the goalkeeper.
Partey now join the prestigious crop of Ghanaian players who have attained such a feat in the past which include Michael Essien, Abedi Pele and Samuel Osei Kuffour.
