2016 Ghana Premier League winning coach Enos Adepah has described Maxwell Baakoh as a complete footballer.
Baakoh can both score and create goals as Adepah believes the talented footballer has what it takes to achieve bigger things at Kotoko and beyond.
“Maxwell is a complete footballer. When we together at All Stars he scored some really important goals for us and he is one those who created lot of chances in our games” Enos Adepah told FootballmadeinGhana.com
“It all depends on where and how he is used. I trained him in Division 3, Division 2 and in the premier league. He scored bunch of goals under me and was very key. It was because I knew how to get the best out of him. No player can be 100% and so it depends on coaches to figure out how to get optimum best from their players.”
The petit midfielder failed to win a first team place in his first stint at the Kumasi-based side when K.K Sarpong was the Kotoko chairman but after playing full throttle in Kotoko’s draw at Kariobangi Sharks in the Confederation Cup lasts Saturday, the former Karela United playmaker is on course to be an important player.
“He had the opportunity to come to Kotoko under K.K Sarpong. He was at the junior side until he left the club having not been able to break into the senior team. And so he is a sort of player the club had monitored for a long time and when it was the right time here he is in Kumasi’ Adepah added.
However the Techiman Eleven Wonders coach admitted Baakoh’s smallish size sometimes represents a weakness against the player.
“His only weakness is his small size as he sometimes lacks the physicality to compete but he has shown that he can wreak havoc against teams despite his smallness.” he said.
