Ghana Premier League side Karela United say they will report Hearts of Oak to the appropriate authorities for the signing of player Dominic Eshun – who according to the former is under – contract till November 2019.
The Phobians announced the signing of the winger on Tuesday but Karela say this transfer business is illegal and repulsive.
In a nine-paragraphed statement press released by the Anyinase-based side Karela United believes Hearts of Oak – whom they defeated 3-1 during the first round of the league – have breached the FIFA regulations on player transfer.
The Fifa player transfer regulations indicates an interested club that wants to sign a player of another club with whom the player has a valid contract must first make contact with the player’s current club before negotiations could even start. Karela say this was not done and they are contesting the transfer.
