B.A United and Bofoakwa Tano were equally separated on Sunday during a heated friendly derby match at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

The game failed to produce any goals but the big crowd was satisfied by the quality of football displayed by the city rivals – both playing in the Ghana second first division league.

Whilst Bofoakwa Tano have failed to win promotion to the elite league since 2007, their counterparts got promoted to the premier league but were relegated in the same season of 2015.

Bofoakwa have however been superior over United as the Green and White side had won the last two Cup matches against BA United before Sunday’s contest.

A reverse fixture is reportedly scheduled for January 1, 2019 at the same venue.
