Karela United captain Godfred Saka wants the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the country to support local football clubs.
The domestic football season was thrown into a state of uncertainty since the Anas football corruption video on June 6th.
The FIFA normalisation committee for the Ghana football association will be meeting owners and presidents of all Women’s Premier League (WPL) clubs and club captains to a consultative meeting on Tuesday, December 11, at the GFA secretariat and Saka believes support for local clubs will be key in the reformation of Ghana football.
“The local Assemblies must support the clubs within the communities because the clubs are suffering” he told Metro FM.
“We don’t know what they’re going to discuss with us so we’re waiting for them. The game isn’t good in a lot of aspects so we’re going to tell the N.C when we meet them
The game isn’t good in terms officiating, pitches as well as intimidation from opposing supporters
We the captains had little discussions on phone but we’ll meet to have more discussions before meeting them”.
