Kariobangi Sharks have received a massive boost ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup match against Asante Kotoko with news of the possible return of leading striker Eric Kapaito.
The 27-year-old was expected to be out until January with a calf injury.
Kapaito who emerged the Goal King of the Kenyan Premier League thus missed Sharks’ previous preliminary round game in the Confederation Cup against Artar Solar.
But the club’s assistant coach Charles Obundu has revealed their lethal striker will be involved in the weekend’s clash against Kotoko despite his fitness concerns.
“Maybe he can play maybe he can’t play. It’ll depend on the medics,” he said.
“I cannot tell you now whether he will play or will not play.
“But come Saturday Kapaito will be in the team.”
Kapaito also emerged the MVP of last season’s KPL.
