Former Liberty Professional winger Latif Atta Blessing has said that he could end up representing the United State men’s national soccer team – USMNT – as he continues to be snubbed by Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.
But Blessing , now a Los Angeles FC player, will have to live continuously for at least five years after reaching the age of 18 in the USA before he can be eligible to play for the USMNT as stipulated in the FIFA Eligibilty rules since he was not born on the USA territory neither was his mother , father, grandmother or grand father.
“Yes, I will consider playing for the USA national team when they approach me. I have been waiting for Black Stars call-up for sometime and it is not forthcoming. There are several players who have naturalised and are playing for other national teams, so this is not anything serious” Blessing said as reported by Graphic Sports.
The quick forward scored 17 goals to finish the 2016 Ghana premier league as top goalscorer as a Liberty Professional player.
