Cameroon will be without striker Michaela Abam for their final group match at the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations against Ghana on Friday.
The deadly Abam is yet to kick a ball for the Indomitable Lionesses at the tournament since her nationality switch is yet to be approved by FIFA having been born in the United States.
The Cameroon FA – FECAFOOT – were confident of clearing all eligibility issues with Abam before the competition but the switch has overly delayed.
She is however part of the squad in Ghana in anticipation of her clearance any time soon.
This will come as a massive relief to Ghana as Cameroon will still be without Abam who is considered really deadly upfront.
Her immense potential earned her a place in the Cameroon squad even before she is cleared.
