Asante Kotoko have written to CAF to seek clarity on their opponents with barely 10 days to their Confederation Cup match.
The Ghanaian giants are to face either Eding FC and Lion Blessé FC who are to battle in the final of the Cameroon FA Cup.
There are rumors Kotoko could progress to the next stage of the competition without kicking a ball due to the uncertainty surrounding the final of the Cameroon FA Cup which is to determine Kotoko’s opponent.
Kotoko have been in intense preparations for the match but are now going weary over the uncertainty surrounding their November 28 opponent.
The club has written to CAF in an attempt to get some answers on that front.
“We have written to CAF last Thursday in order for us to know for sure our opponents,” Kotoko’s spokesman Sarfo Duku told Asempa FM.
“Barely 10 days to the match I think it’s not a good thing that we don’t even know our opponents.
“Knowing your opponent is also part of preparations and once we don’t have clarity on this, then our preparations is not whole.”
Kotoko qualifies to play in the Confederation Cup by virtue of their feat in last season’s Ghana FA Cup competition.
This season’s FA Cup competition remains in a limbo due to the suspension of local football competitions following the airing of a documentary that revealed various acts of corruption in Ghana football back in June.
