Mali coach Salloum Mohammed is confident his side will be better in their second group game of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations against Ghana on Tuesday.
Les Aiglonnes threw away a lead to succumb to a 2-1 defeat to Cameroon in their group opener.
The defeat has seen Mali occupy bottom spot in Group A and facing early elimination.
Mali must get a result against host nation Ghana on Tuesday and coach Mohammed believes his side will improve especially in the defensive area.
“Our defence wasn’t strong the last time out but we’ve corrected our mistakes,” he said.
“I’m sure you’ll all see an improvement in that department.”
A defeat for Mail will see them bundle out of the competition with Ghana progressing to the semi finals.
